Simon. He's such a sweet boy.
Murray yawning. He's a troublemaker.
I visited my sister and niecey on Thursday.
Ava is still cute, even if she does have a Hitler hairdo now.
My friend Rozina has joined me on this here Low Carb Adventure.
She came over for dinner Friday night, and here's what I made.
Spicy-sweet glazed shrimp (loved. Although, confession: There's a little honey in the glaze), heirloom tomatoes with basil & mozzarella (haven't given up cheese yet. I know), and this salad from Smitten Kitchen -- chopped salad with feta, lime, and mint. To die for. Make it. And make it my way -- use lettuce instead of green beans, then definitely use cucumbers, radishes, and mint. It tastes morrocan.
I have lost five pounds.
I know that seems ridiculous since I only started this diet last Wednesday. It hasn't even been a full week.
Finally tackled all the dead and dying plants on my back patio. This is a before-and-after. I really, really hope I don't kill the hell out of these.
Murray in a bag.
I got these shoes and they are the best shoes I have ever bought. I don't even care what they look like, because they're so comfortable. Also, I realize I am showing you my freakishly long second toe. There it is, in all its freakish glory. This is why I can't wear peep-toe shoes.
you have really pretty feet! there, i said it.
ReplyDeleteWell thanks! I'm self-conscious of that freakish toe, though. :)
ReplyDeleteHA! I seriously thought "What a cute Hitler baby!" when I scanned the photos before I read what you'd written.
ReplyDeleteThere are a lot of babies with Hitler hair, I think. (The baby on Up All Night had a Hitler-do for much of the season) but I'm generally averse to telling people I think so. Kind of a touchy subject. Understandably.
That is totally true, now that you mention it! Ha!
DeleteI like what you've done with your blog. You did change something, right? Hopefully, I'm not stroking out right now.
ReplyDeleteYAAAAY for 5 pounds!!!! Someone's taking care of low-carb business!!! And, I also love Ava's Hitler 'do. I hear they're all the rage in Milan.
