Something that's been bothering me since 1986

Why would you take this dress ...

And turn it into this dress?

Why?

WHY?

  1. Or the other one! That one was good too! And she only used one little piece of it! And the dress looks like a shopping bag!

Sorry, it's been pent up for a long time.

    I never understood that thing.

  3. Actually, if you look at her facial expression, she's thinking the same thing.

"Why the hell would you make ME wear the potato sack dress when SHE got to have a cute hourglass shape? As if my self-esteem wasn't low enough?!"

  4. She made all her other clothes and they were cute? Why did she lose all sewing and tailoring skill on the prom dress? Did she choke? Is it a metaphor? Why? Why? Why?

  5. I figured maybe I was just a little too young to understand this fashion.

  6. The dress was truly awful, and she ruined that beautiful Annie Potts dress. Also, because of some focus group, she ended up with the lying jerk who never apologized for screwing her over.

  7. Libby - exactly. It's been bothering me for YEARS.

    SM - amen.

MM - I think that was her thing: looking miserable.

Mandy - I KNOW! They build the whole movie up to this reveal and then you're like what the fuuuuuuuu....

Suzanne - you were too sane to understand.

  9. In my head canon Blaine was too busy making out with Steff, and she ended up with Ducky!

But as for the dress, it was the 80's and yet I was still underwhelmed.
